Kristján Mímisson is an archaeologist and Editorial Curator at the National Museum of Iceland. He has an MA degree from Universität Hamburg and a PhD from the University of Iceland. His main research interests include the archaeology of the recent past, material culture and historiography, and biography. Mímisson has worked on the concept of The Singularization of History in relation to material culture, and lately he has been involved with research on material culture archives within the project My Favourite Things: Material Culture Archives, Cultural History and Meaning
