Brian Sarnacki is a graduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln specializing in the social and urban history of the United States during the late nineteenth and early twentieth
centuries. His dissertation expands upon several themes from his Masters’ Thesis, A Small City’s Big Scandal: Municipal Corruption, Progressive Reform, and the Grand Rapids, Michigan Water Scandal, 1900–1906, specifically identity in smaller Midwestern cities.
