Pilvikki Lantela is a cultural historian and management and organization studies scholar, interested in the possibilities of microhistory in historical writing. Her research interests lie in questions about power, feminism, gender, and organizing in religious or non-corporate contexts. Also, the possibilities of using creative writing and narrative in research are of interest to her. She is located in the arctic circle, at the University of Lapland.

At the moment, she is working on her dissertation: a microhistorical investigation of two women who were active in Finnish revivalist movements in the late 1800s and the first half of the twentieth century.
